Chinese began to make sword in the
Shang Dynasty (1600-1046BC). At that
time, sword consists of copper. The
earliest Chinese coppery sword
was only 25.4 centimeters.
    In the Spring and Autumn Period (770-
476BC), people increased the sword’s
length, swords became the main weapon
in the war.
    In the Han Dynasty (202BC-263AD),
the steely sword was made instead of the
coppery sword. This kind of sword was
harder than before.
    In the Tang Dynasty (618-907AD),
swords became a symbol which mean
highness. People was proud if they have
a sword.
